The second series has more suspense than the first because Minakata saves many people and the future changes little by little. Also, this is the period where Japan changes drastically, the period when people want to destroy the old Japanese system.
However, the suspense goes up until the fifth episode. The fifth episode is so boring..
It’s sad to see that Sakamoto Ryoma will be assassinated. He and Minakata have became so close already..
The part where I find the most interesting is when the Shinsengumi appears. That is because it is thanks to Shinsengumi that I first became interested in Japanese history and culture.
