The name is shortened for Papa wa Idol (My papa is an idol). Nishikido Ryou plays a character of himself in a fictional story. He is one of the members in an idol group called Kanjani8. In the story, he falls in love with a woman and marries her. She turns out to be a mother a three children. Since Ryou is an idol, his agency gives him two choices: Divorce her or retire from the entertainment agency.
